I came to have lunch at La casuela yesterday. I ordered my usual tacos. I noticed that the tacos is single now, which used to be doubled when they served... so, as I was eating them, the tacos ripped quicker and crumbly... but, still I enjoyed the taste, same taste as I remembered last time I ate here, maybe it was last year. Service still good and the ambience is the same.

Came in on a Friday and the parking lot was packed which is always a good sign . Despite that our party of four was seated right away . Love the traditional Mexican style decor . Again despite the restaurant being busy our waiter took our drink order and shortly after took out food order and within about 15 minutes it was out. I ordered the aguachile it was good the only thing is that they don't make it green but with red chile. The molcajete was big with plenty of meat . We also ordered the camarones a la diabla not as spicy as other restaurants we've been to but still had a good flavor . The chicken mole was good too but if you don't like the chocolate tasting mole this plate isn't for you .

"This review is long overdue as my first time here was a few years ago for their ultimate mocajete bowl! That bowl of yummy goodness is so tasty and was something I was missing out on my whole life!" This review is from one of the Yelp Elites Lisa S. I could not describe my first reaction to the mocajete bowl any better! I am also a fan of this restaurant for also their fajitas 3 meat mix. Bacon wrap shrimp, chips and salsa is delicious. All of the signature cocktail drinks are very good, pick one! Plenty of seating for large and small parties with ample amount of parking outside. Service is always great and fast with really good authentic food!

Really good authentic food. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants when visiting the central valley. They have four locations, manteca, ripon, modesto and turlock. Manteca has a pretty decent size parking lot. I've never gone where the parking lot was completely full. I love their food options and drink options. Their serving size is pretty large. Their carne con Chile is one of my favorites. Their sauce is delicious. Their beans taste really good and I'm not a bean person at all. Their salsa and chips are always fresh. Their cocktails are pretty unique and the menu always expands. Most of the drinks I've tried are mildly strong but come with great flavor. Also I've never had any issue with the staff. They are always super friendly and check on our table often. This location is pretty big. Lots of seating. Setting is casual.

Las Casuelas! Always look forward to their chips, salsa, and bean dip! Today we ordered chilaquiles rojos with over medium eggs, a tampiqueña, and a agua de Jamaica. The chilaquiles are great! Flavors are good and it's a decent sized portion but for $20 it's steep. The tampiqueña was good as well! It's pretty much like chicken fajitas. The agua de Jamaica was a little on the sweet side but not bad! Our servers were very nice and the restaurant was clean. Plenty of seating for busy days.
